¿Qué es la medicina genómica?

El concepto de medicina de precisión es relativamente nuevo, pues hace referencia a la adaptación del tratamiento médico de acuerdo a las características propias de cada individuo.

En la medicina personalizada, la prueba de diagnóstico es empleada a menudo para la selección de terapias apropiadas y óptimas, o la prevención de enfermedades.

Esta nueva forma de medicina también llamada personalizada es una forma de guiar la prevención, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de enfermedades basadas, no sólo en datos clínicos, sino también en los genes individuales de una persona, su medio ambiente y su estilo de vida.

Es un estudio especializado y fundamentado en los estudios de medicina personalizada, orientado al análisis de variantes más importantes para la población mexicana. Es un estudio de farmacogenética, el cual estudia las acciones e interacciones entre los fármacos en cada persona a nivel individual, en función de su genoma y sus efectos respecto a la expresión génica pudiendo predecir la eficacia y la toxicidad de los medicamentos permitiendo así la aplicación de la terapia idónea

Es un estudio orientado al conocimiento de las variaciones y predisposiciones genéticas relacionadas a nuestro estilo de vida (nutrición + actividad física) y padecimientos de diferentes categorías.

DermaND

Es un estudio que contiene información genética la cual ayuda a identificar si se tiene alguna predisposición relacionada con el cuidado de la piel. DermaND  se enfoca en el análisis genético de la piel tanto de condiciones estéticas, como de condiciones clínicas.

NutriKidsND

Es una guía genética para mejorar la alimentación y calidad de vida. Este estudio tiene como objetivo brindar a los padres la información necesaria para poder optimizar el desarrollo del niño y evitar la presentación temprana de enfermedades crónica por deficiencia. VitaND

Es un estudio genético personalizado que se enfoca conocer la interacción de los nutrientes con el cuerpo a partir de información contenida en el ADN. Este estudio se enfoca en determinar todo tipo de deficiencias, variaciones, predisposiciones o disfunciones del organismo a la hora de metabolizar los nutrientes que se ingieren en la dieta diaria, tipo de dieta que varía dependiendo de nuestro estilo de vida.
